Drivers Unharmed, Semi-Truck Crash into Big Rig on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 27, 2022) — Two drivers were uninjured after a big rig crash on Highway 99 near Ming Avenue on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the double big rig accident happened around 8:00 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a big rig collided into the back of another semi-truck on northbound Highway 99.
Fortunately, no one reported any injuries in the crash, but commuters faced traffic as the semi-trucks blocked the No. 2 lane of Highway 99.
The leading cause of the accident was unavailable at the time. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm the exact details of this crash. If anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
Driving around big rigs can be risky. Stay out of their blind spots and make room for them. Because they are larger vehicles, it can be difficult for big rig drivers to see you. Drivers operating larger trucks like semi-trucks should also take precautions.
