Driver Airlifted, Vehicle and Big Rig Collide on Mariposa Road in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (August 8, 2023) — A driver was injured after a car and a semi-truck crashed on Mariposa Road near Eucalyptus Street Sunday.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle accident happened around 3:40 p.m. on August 6. At a curve on the road, a driver lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. Subsequently, the sedan driver tried to regain control but directed the car into the path of an oncoming semi-truck traveling in the opposite direction. As a result, both vehicles collided.
 
Soon after, San Bernardino County Fire arrived at the scene and airlifted the injured driver to Desert Valley Hospital and Loma Linda University Medical Center. The driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene. However, traffic investigators have yet to identify the factors leading to the crash.
