Donald Buckley and Son Injured in Dirt Bike Accident on Wolf Drive near Retrac Way in Nevada County

 
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (August 17, 2022) – 38-year-old Donald Buckley and his 7-year-old son sustained injuries in a dirt bike accident on Wolf Drive on Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on August 14 at about 6:40 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a 1994 Suzuki RM250 dirt bike left the east roadway edge and crashed into a tree near Retrac Way.
 
The impact of the collision ejected Buckley and his son from the dirt bike.
 
A medical helicopter transported the child to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of major head injuries.
 
Meanwhile, Buckley sustained moderate injuries but refused hospitalization.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
