Deputy Timothy Corlew Killed in Crash on 91 Freeway near La Sierra Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (January 10, 2025) — Deputy Timothy Corlew died in a patrol motorcycle accident on the 91 Freeway near La Sierra Avenue.
According to reports, Deputy Timothy Corlew died around 5:35 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, his patrol motorcycle collided with a vehicle on the westbound 91 Freeway in Riverside.
Authorities determined that Corlew was in the carpool lane, traveling at an unconfirmed speed, when he crashed into the rear of a Toyota Lexus before being ejected from his motorcycle onto a Hyundai sedan.
Moments later, Riverside Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and took him to Riverside Community Hospital where he passed away. The Lexus driver suffered minor injuries and received care at a hospital.
The occupant of the Hyundai was unharmed.
At this time, authorities are investigating the details; thus far, officials believe no criminal charges will come out of this incident. However, if anyone has more to add, contact the CHP.
