David Ceja and Hector Ceja Killed in Head-On Accident on Vista Del Mar [Playa Del Rey, CA]

Head-On Crash in Playa Del Rey Kills Two Teen Brothers and Hurts Three Other People

 
PLAYA DEL REY, CA (June 6, 2024) – David Ceja and Hector Ceja were killed in a two-car accident in Playa Del Rey Tuesday evening on June 4.
 
The fatal accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. in the 8800 block of Vista Del Mar near Dockweiler State Beach. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Honda Accord and a Tesla SUV collided head-on.
 
The two brothers were inside the Accord with two other juvenile passengers. David was the one driving the car. The Accord was traveling northbound on Vista Del Mar when it crossed over into the southbound lane and collided with the Tesla.
 
David, 17, died at the scene. Hector, 15, died on the way to the hospital, police officials said.
 
The two other juveniles and a woman in her 30s were taken to a hospital in unknown conditions.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
