Damariae Daniel Turns Himself In After Crashing Into Patrol Car, Injuring Boy at Franklin Boulevard and Brookfield Drive

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 13, 2024) — Damariae Daniel was arrested after hitting a police car and injuring a boy during a crash at Franklin Boulevard and Brookfield Drive.
 
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, the two-vehicle crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, 23-year-old Daniel made an illegal turn onto Brookfield Drive and struck a deputy’s K-9 unit.
 
Subsequently, a boy standing with his father on the corner of the intersection was hit by either debris or one of the vehicles. Soon after, paramedics arrived and found the conscious and breathing child before taking him to a hospital where he remains in recovery.
 
Following the crash, Daniel left the scene but turned himself in the Sacramento County Main Jail.
 
Neither the officer, K-9 nor the father was injured in the accident.
