Cole Paulson Arrested for DUI after Crash on Highway 49 at Old Downieville Highway in Nevada City

 
NEVADA CITY, CA (July 25, 2022) – Police arrested Cole Paulson following a rollover crash on Highway 49 on July 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at Old Downieville Highway shortly after 9:50 AM.
 
Based on a report, Paulson allowed his 2005 Honda Pilot to leave the right side of the roadway. Then, he overcorrected to the left and crossed the center double yellow lines. Subsequently, the vehicle sideswiped a 1995 Ford F150 driven by Lavonne Mullin. In the end Paulson’s vehicle went off the west side of the highway, hit an embankment and overturned.
 
As a result, 67-year-old Mullin suffered minor to moderate injuries while Paulson had minor injuries. Crews sent both patients to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for treatment.
 
As of now, Cole Hatfield Paulson, 40, is facing two counts of DUI. An investigation is still ongoing.
