Mitchell Wade, Cindi Zerovs Dead in Huntington Beach Accident, Erik Kinser Detained for DUI
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (January 21, 2021) — Two people died in Tuesday’s DUI accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Warner Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the DUI crash happened around 6:45 p.m. Upon arriving, police found three vehicles with extensive damage on the southbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway.
Police presumed from investigations that 35-year-old Eric Kinser crashed his 2007 Dodge Ram while impaired.
According to Lt. Ryan Reilly, the Sunset Beach man veered from the northbound to the southbound lanes. There, his truck slammed into a 1999 Toyota Solara and a 2012 Lexus RX350.
As a result, 71-year-old Cindi Darrelyn Zerovs, of Huntington Beach, who had been operating the Lexus died at the scene. In addition, 19-year-old Mitchell Tyler Wade, steering the Toyota, died later at a hospital.
Surviving the crash was a 45-year-old woman riding in the Lexus, who received treatment for her moderate injuries while officers arrested Kinser on suspicion of DUI.
