24-Year-Old Christian Flores Dies after Wrong-Way Crash on Sierra Highway in Acton

 
ACTON, CA (April 4, 2022) – Authorities identified 24-year-old Christian Flores of Palmdale as the victim killed in a head-on accident on Sierra Highway, early Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 30, at about 4:50 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a northbound Honda crossed into the southbound lane.
 
Then, the Honda collided head-on with a southbound Nissan near San Gabriel Avenue.
 
Emergency crews rushed the Honda driver, later identified as Flores, to a local area hospital. According to reports, Flores was declared dead on arrival.
 
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver, identified as 38-year-old Vicente Gonzalez, sustained major injuries and needed hospitalization.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers ask witnesses to call the CHP Antelope Valley area office at (661) 948-8541.
