Well-known Restauranteur Dies in Crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 27, 2023) – Chris Jarosz was killed in a traffic accident in Sacramento early Wednesday morning on May 24.
The fatal accident happened around 2:00 a.m. on Highway 50 at the 65th Street on-ramp. According to California Highway Patrol, Jarosz was driving his SUV along the highway when he rear-ended a truck belonging to a Caltrans subcontractor in the construction zone.
As a result, Jarosz suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 55 years old, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
Jarosz was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was the co-owner of Broderick’s Roadhouse and other eateries. He was also the president of the Sacramento chapter of the California Restaurant Association.
An investigation into this fatality is underway.
