Passenger Dies after Jeep Overturns in Madera County

 
MADERA COUNTY, CA (January 8, 2024) – Cassandra Cedillo died in a rollover accident in Madera County Sunday evening on January 7.
 
The fatal accident happened on Avenue 7 near Firebaugh Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Ashley Flavin of Fresno was driving east when she lost control of the Jeep, causing it to overturn.
 
Cedillo was a rear passenger in the Jeep and was not wearing a seat belt. She was ejected during the crash and died at the scene. She was 37 years old of Fresno.
 
Flavin was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The front passenger was unharmed.
 
Officers said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
