Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck in Menifee
MENIFEE, CA (January 30, 2023) – Canon Squires was killed in a motorcycle crash in Menifee Saturday afternoon on January 28.
The crash happened around 4:17 p.m. at the intersection of Bundy Canyon Road and Wright Road. According to the Menifee Police Department, Squires was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound and attempted to pass slowing traffic on the opposite side of the roadway. A Ford pickup truck was also heading westbound when it slowed for a left turn. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the Ford.
The impact knocked Squires off from his motorcycle. He suffered major injuries and died at the scene. He was 55 years old from Menifee, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.
The driver of the Ford remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
Neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash. Police asked anyone with further information to call them at 951-723-1690.
