Byron Gonzalez Hit, Killed by Car on Highway 33 near McCracken Road

 
MODESTO, CA (March 11, 2024) — Byron Gonzalez died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 33 near McCracken Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a Stockton resident driving a southbound Nissan pickup struck 50-year-old Gonzalez on the highway.
 
Subsequently, the driver pulled over and waited for the authorities to arrive. However, once paramedics arrived, Gonzalez passed away from his injuries. Authorities did not confirm his residence.
 
Following the crash, traffic investigators interviewed the driver and did not believe alcohol factored into the cause.
