Biker Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park

 
GRIFFITH PARK, CA (April 18, 2022) – A bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash on Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park on Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 3:50 p.m. on April 16. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an unknown vehicle struck the bicyclist in the 4400 block of Crystal Springs Drive.
 
When officers arrived, they found the bicyclist suffering from fatal injuries and pronounced them dead at the scene.
 
At this time, the identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the car fled the scene on foot, but was later apprehended and taken into custody.
