At Least 1 Killed in DUI Crash on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 22, 2023) — At least one person died in a suspected DUI accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard near Highway 58.
 
According to news reports, the fatal crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
 
For unknown reasons, at least one vehicle crashed on South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard just north of Highway 58.
 
Soon after, California Highway Patrol traffic investigators arrived to confirm at least one person with fatal injuries. Upon further investigation, authorities said that the major injury crash was caused by DUI.
