Pedestrian Angelita Van Roon Hit, Killed in San Diego Car Accident

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 3, 2021) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Ingraham Street near Sea World on Saturday morning, August 28.
 
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Angelita Rose Van Roon, according to the San Diego County Coroner’s office.
 
According to San Diego police officers, the deadly accident happened at approximately 4:15 a.m. at 2500 Ingraham Street. Van Roon was walking westbound on Ingraham Street when she climbed over the concrete center divide.
 
However, at the same time a Honda Civic driving in the No. 1 lane stuck her. As a result, Van Roon was struck by other vehicles after the first.
 
The driver of the Honda Civic, possibly a 24-year-old man, stopped and called 911.
 
Law enforcement and paramedics responded and initiated resuscitative efforts. However, Van Roon could not be revived and died at the scene.
