Andrew Krause Dies in Motorcycle Accident near Lay Avenue and James Avenue
RED BLUFF, CA (September 17, 2024) — Andrew Krause died after he crashed a stolen motorcycle near Lay Avenue and James Avenue.
According to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, the deadly motorcycle crash happened on September 14 around 12:35 a.m. Upon seeing a motorcycle speed down Willow Street without lights on, police decided to pull over the motorist. However, 35-year-old Andrew Wesley Krause did not comply and fled the scene.
Subsequently, officers followed him, resulting in a police pursuit.
After driving recklessly, including accessing the wrong side of the road and front yards of homes, Krause crashed into a ditch in a grassy field where he was ejected.
Soon after, deputies and paramedics responded and transported him to an area hospital where despite receiving lifesaving care, he passed away from his injuries.
During the investigation, authorities learned that he stole a motorcycle, later claimed by Taneesha Marie Lutey and her husband, both from Forest Ranch.
