Dayton Nihipali Arrested, 1 Hospitalized, Police Chase Results in Crash near Orange Avenue and Alondra Boulevard
PARAMOUNT, CA (September 17, 2024) — Dayton Nihipali faces charges following a police chase accident near Orange Avenue and Alondra Boulevard.
According to Long Beach Police officers, the police chase occurred around 8:40 p.m. Friday. After seeing a suspect allegedly commit several traffic violations, officers attempted to make a traffic stop. However, the driver — Dayton Thomask Nihipali — fled the scene and led police on a chase from Long Beach to Paramount.
Subsequently, the suspect vehicle crashed into another car driven by a male adult victim who sustained minor injuries. After the crash, police arrested 25-year-old Nihipali. They charged him with suspicion of DUI, reckless evading of police and possession of a firearm, among others. At this time, he remains booked in the Long Beach Jail.
