7 Hurt in Multi-Car Crash on Ramona Expressway in Hemet

 
HEMET, CA (February 16, 2023) — Seven people were injured in a 4-car accident on Ramona Expressway near Lincoln Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. For some reason, the four cars crashed just south of the Soboba Indian Reservation.
 
In total, seven people suffered moderate to major injuries. Upon arriving, Riverside County Fire Department crews found two people in two separate cars requiring extrication. Both of them suffered major injuries. While paramedics airlifted one of them to a hospital, another team brought the other to a regional trauma center. The five remaining patients also sought hospitalization.
 
As a result of the crash, crews closed Ramona Expressway for several hours as they cleaned and canvassed the site for clues. If anyone has seen this crash and can help the authorities, please call the California Highway Patrol.
