6-Year-Old Boy Hurt in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Nunes Avenue in Castro Valley

 
CASTRO VALLEY, CA (October 27, 2022) — A 6-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Nunes Avenue near Castro Valley Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown make and model struck the child while driving southbound on Nunes Avenue. Rather than stopping to help, the driver fled the scene toward a residential neighborhood.
 
Soon after, officers and paramedics arrived and brought the Castro Valley child, who was aided by his parents, to a hospital for care.
