51-Year-Old Steve Mantanez Dead in 2-Car Crash on Warren Road near Devonshire Avenue

 
HEMET, CA (October 26, 2023) — Steve Mantanez died in Wednesday’s 2-car accident on Warren Road near Devonshire Avenue.
 
According to Hemet police officers, the deadly two-vehicle collision involved a sedan and an SUV, west of Hemet. For an unknown reason, a Mitsubishi Lancer and a Nissan Pathfinder collided on Warren Road.
 
Soon after, Hemet Fire Department paramedics arrived and found 51-year-old Steve Mantanez, of Murrieta — the Mitsubishi driver — with fatal wounds. Medics transported the Pathfinder driver to an out-of-area trauma center where he remains in critical condition.
 
At the time of the report, officials did not release the Pathfinder driver’s name or the ultimate cause of the collision. However, if anyone has additional insight surrounding this crash, please call Hemet police officers and California Highway Patrol.
