2 Adults, 5-Year-Old Child Injured in Indio Hit-and-Run Accident

 
INDIO, CA (February 5, 2021) — A 5-year-old child was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Fred Waring Drive near Indio Boulevard.
 
According to Cal Fire, the hit-and-run crash happened around 4:30 p.m. and involved two vehicles.
 
For unknown reasons, the cars collided near the intersection. As a result, two adults suffered unclear injuries. However, paramedics airlifted the 5-year-old to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
The boy has been placed on a ventilator and is in the intensive care unit at a Riverside hospital following the hit-and-run crash Thursday afternoon, according to his father.
 
Now, authorities remain diligent in their search for the driver in this hit-and-run accident.
 
However, there is minimal information on the hit-and-run driver and his black Toyota Highlander. So far, authorities described him as a Hispanic male of unknown age.
