Two Vehicles Collide on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido Sending Five People to Hospital

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (March 20, 2024) – Five people were hospitalized in a two-vehicle accident on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido Sunday afternoon on March 17.
 
The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at 17th Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
Escondido Fire Department crews responded and found eight people involved in the accident. Five people, two children and three adults, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
Two patients including one of the children suffered severe injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
