4 People Hospitalized, Car Crashes Into Fuel Tanker on Black Road in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (July 11, 2022) — Four people were injured after a car crashed into a fuel tanker on Black Road at Mahoney Road on Friday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident happened around 5:58 a.m. For possible speed-related reasons, a female driver of a Dodge Neon, traveling behind a fuel tanker, was unable to stop in time as the fuel tanker attempted a right-hand turn. As a result, the Dodge driver crashed into the side of the fuel tanker due to unfit speeds.
 
Soon after, the Santa Maria fire department and American Medical Response units arrived at the scene and brought the four people inside the Dodge, including the driver, to Marian Regional Medical Center for an evaluation.
 
As for the fuel tanker driver, that individual reported no injuries.
