3 Dead in Solo-Car Crash on Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim

ANAHEIM, CA (March 29, 2022) — Three men died in a solo-car accident on Harbor Boulevard at La Palma Avenue on Monday morning.

According to Anaheim Police, the fatal single-car accident happened around 2:00 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Mercedes-Benz was bearing down Harbor Boulevard at high speeds. Subsequently, the Mercedes-Benz veered off the road and struck a brick wall that split the car in two.

As a result of the impact, the car burst into flames and also sheared a fire hydrant that gushed water into the power lines hovering over the streets.

Police officers who witnessed the crash tried to save the three men trapped inside the vehicle. One officer was able to pull one of the victims out of the vehicle and perform CPR.

However, efforts fell short and he, as well as the other two men, died at the scene.

At this time, officers have not confirmed if DUI played a factor, but speed appears evident in this crash. Anyone with information should contact the Anaheim Police.
