3 Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on 15 Freeway [North County, CA]

North County Semi-Truck Accident on 15 Freeway near Rainbow Valley Boulevard

 
NORTH COUNTY, CA (December 12, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a semi-truck accident on 15 Freeway, Thursday evening.
 
According to the North County Fire Protection District, the incident happened on December 8, at about 7:45 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a big rig and a vehicle collided near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
 
As per reports, one vehicle veered and hit two roadway workers.
 
Responders had to extricate the semi-truck driver from the wreckage.
 
Emergency crews transported the roadway workers and the semi-truck driver to Palomar Medical Center. Authorities did not release the names of the victims.
 
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
