Rollover Crash on Highway 101 in Gaviota Injures Three People

 
GAVIOTA, CA (May 4, 2023) – Three people were injured in a rollover accident on Highway 101 in Gaviota Wednesday afternoon on May 3.
 
The accident happened around 3:57 p.m. just north of the Gaviota Rest Area. According to the California Highway Patrol, a GMC pickup truck was traveling northbound on the highway when it rolled over for unknown reasons.
 
One female passenger was airlifted to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver and another female passenger were transported by ground ambulance to the same hospital with minor injuries.
 
Fire officials shut down two of the three northbound lanes while they worked on the scene.
 
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
