3 Hurt in 8-Car Crash on Highway 101 in Montecito

 
MONTECITO, CA (May 23, 2023) — Three people suffered injuries in a multi-car accident on Highway 101 near Sheffield Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 12:56 p.m. on May 22.
 
Under unclear circumstances, roughly eight vehicles crashed on the northbound highway. Minutes later, Montecito Fire officials responded to the scene and treated three injured patients. Multiple tow trucks were on their way, as well, since several cars had to be removed from the road.
