3 Hurt in Multi-Car Crash on Granada Drive in Madera

 
MADERA, CA (April 4, 2023) — Three people were injured in a multi-car accident on Granada Drive near Riverview Drive.
 
According to reports, the multi-vehicle accident happened around 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Madera police officers responded to a call of a crash on Granada Drive near Riverview Drive. Police learned that a driver heading southbound on Granada Drive tried to pass a vehicle in front of him on the right-hand side. However, the driver veered back into the lane and sideswiped the car he was trying to overtake which sent his vehicle into oncoming traffic.
 
In the opposing lane, his vehicle collided head-on with the northbound car sending that northbound car into a tree.
 
Soon after, paramedics arrived in airlifted one driver to Community Regional Medical Center and brought the other driver to a hospital for care.
 
The condition of all three patients is unknown at this time, but an ongoing investigation should confirm the fault and other outstanding factors. If anyone has more to add, please call the Madera police officers.
