3 People Hurt in Car Crash on Highway 50 near Kyburz
KYBURZ, CA (July 21, 2021) — Three people suffered injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 50 near Kyburz Drive Tuesday morning.
According to California Highway Patrol officials, the crash happened at around 7:00 a.m. It involved a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Tundra.
Based on initial reports, the Camry was eastbound on Highway 50 when it crossed over the double yellow lines. As a result, it went into the path of the oncoming Tundra, and the two vehicles collided head-on.
The man driving the Camry and the two occupants of the Tundra were transported to Marshall Hospital. All of them sustained minor injuries. Their names were not immediately available but officials said they are from the Tahoe area.
The CHP said the weather was normal at the time of the crash. They are still investigating.
