Toddler on Scooter Dies after Hit by Minivan on Creek Road in Irvine

 
IRVINE, CA (October 30, 2022) – A 2-year-old girl was killed in a scooter accident on Creek Road in Irvine on Thursday evening, October 27.
 
The accident happened around 8:05 p.m. near the parking lot exit of the Cross Creek Apartments at 22 Creek Road. According to the Irvine Police Department, the child was riding her scooter on the sidewalk when a black Honda Odyssey struck her. The car was exiting the parking lot when the crash occurred.
 
Paramedics rushed the child to a hospital, where she died shortly after her arrival.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
