Mother, Daughter Killed in San Jose Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident

 
SAN JOSE, CA (April 12, 2022) — Two women died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Ocala Avenue at Oakton Court on Thursday evening.
 
According to reports, the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash happened at approximately 6:26 p.m. For unknown reasons, a man driving a newer red model pickup truck struck two women crossing in a marked crosswalk.
 
Subsequently, the driver fled the area, leaving both women gravely injured.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and brought both victims – described as mother and daughter – to a hospital where both patients died.
 
At this time, officers need the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in this hit-and-run. Therefore, for anyone with information related to the driver or vehicle, please call the San José Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at 408-277-4654.
