2 Killed, 3 Injured in Rear-End Accident on Hollywood Freeway at Magnolia Boulevard [North Hollywood, CA]

Rear-End Crash on Hollywood Freeway Kills 2 and Injures 3 Others Including 10-Month-Old Baby

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (March 1, 2023) – Two people died and three others were injured after a rear-end crash on Hollywood Freeway at Magnolia Boulevard Sunday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:04 p.m. on February 26, just near Tujunga Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Honda Fit rear-ended a Toyota Camry that was stopped at the red light. The impact caused both cars to overturn on its roof. The Honda also struck a signal pole.
 
The driver of the Honda and a female passenger were both rushed to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
 
Two other patients, a 40-year-old male and a 35-year-old female, were injured and trapped in the wreckage. Fire crews used hydraulic-powered tools to extricate them.
 
A 10-month-old infant suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
