Two-Car Accident on South Highland Avenue in Fontana Sends Both Drivers to Hospital
FONTANA, CA (October 30, 2022) – Two people were injured in a two-car accident on South Highland Avenue in northern Fontana on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened around 10:15 a.m. on October 25, just in front of Rotolo Chevrolet in the 16600 block of South Highland Avenue. According to the Fontana Police Department, a 2004 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Juniper Avenue when it made a westbound turn onto South Highland. A 2022 Hyundai Optima traveling east on South Highland then struck the Accord.
As a result of the crash, both drivers sustained minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the Honda was trapped in his vehicle, and Fire Department personnel used the jaws of life to extricate him from the car.
Both drivers were then transported to area hospitals via ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
