Motorcycle Involved in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 605 Freeway near Washington Boulevard

 
WHITTIER, CA (December 23, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries in a fiery multi-vehicle accident on 605 Freeway, early Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on December 20 at about 5:20 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, a southbound vehicle crashed into the center divider. Then, the vehicle entered the northbound lanes near Washington Boulevard.
 
Due to unknown circumstances, two other vehicles and a motorcycle became involved in the collision. The impact of the crash caused at least one vehicle to catch fire.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department transported two people to local hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
Emergency responders temporarily closed northbound and southbound lanes to make way for an investigation.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
