Two-Car Accident on Deep Creek Road in Apple Valley Sends 2 People to Hospitals in Critical Condition

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (September 23, 2023) – Two people were critically injured in a two-car accident on Deep Creek Road in Apple Valley Tuesday morning on September 19.
 
The accident happened around 6:44 a.m. near Del Oro Road. According to the Apple Valley Police Department, a red Ford Mustang and a white Honda Civic collided for unknown reasons.
 
Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded and located the Civic off the roadway, with occupants trapped inside the car.
 
Crews reported a total of three patients, two of them with critical injuries, and a third with minor injuries.
 
Two medical helicopters transported the two critically injured patients out-of-area trauma hospitals.
 
Deep Creek Road was closed in both directions for over an hour as deputies investigated and the roadway was cleared.
 
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
