Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash on Del Mar Heights Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 13, 2024) — An 18-year-old sustained a serious arm injury in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Del Mar Heights Road near Carmel Valley Road.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the hit-and-run accident unfolded around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a westbound driver entered the bike lane and struck the 18-year-old on an e-bike. Upon impact, the victim fell off the bike while the driver left the scene of the accident.
 
Paramedics took the victim to a local hospital for a fractured arm.
