18-Year-Old Estrella Guerrero Among Hurt in DUI Car Crash on Silverado Trail near Taplin Road

 
NAPA COUNTY, CA (February 22, 2022) — Estrella Guerrero suffered major injuries in a DUI car accident on Silverado Trail near Taplin Road, early Monday.
 
According to a California Highway Patrol news release, the single-car crash happened around 12:45 a.m. For DUI-related reasons, a 17-year-old Napa boy driving a 2004 Honda failed to negotiate a curve while heading south on Silverado Trail. As a result, the vehicle left the road, struck a metal guardrail, crashed into a barbed-wire fence and slammed into a dirt and grass embankment before coming to a rest on its wheels.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene and brought 18-year-old Estrella Gomez Guerrero to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics ushered a 19-year-old Napa man and an 18-year-old St Helena woman, both of whom suffered minor wounds, to the same hospital.
 
As for the driver, police arrested him on DUI charges.
