LA MESA, CA (February 16, 2023) — One person was injured in a wrong-way accident on the 8 Freeway near El Cajon Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wrong-way collision happened Wednesday morning. For unknown reasons, a driver entered the eastbound 8 Freeway in the wrong direction. Soon after, the vehicle clipped one car and caused several other vehicles to crash.
