Driver Strikes Pedestrian After Fight on 8th Street in National City

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (February 16, 2023) — A driver hit a pedestrian after an argument on 8th Street near Market on 8th.
 
According to National City police, the pedestrian accident happened late Sunday night. Just east of National City Boulevard, an argument unfolded between a 22-year-old driver and a friend. Subsequently, the situation escalated, leading the driver to deliberately strike the pedestrian as the victim walked away.
 
Soon after, paramedics and firefighters found the red BMW 328i slammed into a parking structure and the victim with unknown injuries.
 
Paramedics brought the patient to a hospital for care while officers interviewed the driver at the scene.
