1 Person Hospitalized in Pedestrian Crash on Van Ness Avenue in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 8, 2023) — One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on Van Ness Avenue at Merced Street Sunday.
 
According to the Fresno Police Department, a pedestrian accident happened around 2:00 a.m. For an unknown reason, shots were fired during an unclear disturbance near the intersection. Subsequently, a driver struck a pedestrian. Fortunately, no one suffered an injury by gunfire. However, the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries in the crash.
