1 Person Hurt in Head-On Crash on Lerdo Highway in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 31, 2022) — One person was injured in a head-on accident on Lerdo Highway near Highway 99.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 6:51 a.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, two cars crashed in a head-on collision on Lerdo Highway, east of Highway 99.
 
As a result of the crash, authorities had to close the east and westbound lanes temporarily to investigate and clear the scene. One person suffered major injuries in the crash. No other information was available concerning those injured and what drove the accident. Although, if anyone has more information to share, please call the authorities.
