1 Injured After Car and Motorcycle Collide at Grand Avenue in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (April 23, 2024) — One person suffered severe injuries after a car and motorcycle crashed at Grand Avenue and Perkins Street.
 
According to Oakland Police officers, the motorcycle crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Sunday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver of an unknown vehicle collided with a motorcyclist. Subsequently, Oakland officers responded to the scene to find the motorcycle rider on the ground. Due to the victim’s state, paramedics ushered the individual to a local hospital, where the patient remained in stable condition. Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene for the investigation.
 
At this time, police have not identified if speed or alcohol factored into the cause, but dirt bike sideshow activities were occurring simultaneously during the investigation.
