Deadly Multi-Car Crash, Police Pursuit at Imperial Highway in South Los Angeles

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (November 27, 2023) — One person died in a multi-car accident at Imperial Highway and Broadway.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the multi-car crash happened after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Due to a burglary call, Sheriff’s officers responded to Rancho Palos Verdes to assist, but pursued several suspects in a white Lexus SUV and a black Porsche. Subsequently, the chase continued onto the 110 Freeway, and California Highway Patrol took over before losing sight of the black Porsche.
 
Moments after, officers called off the pursuit and the Lexus SUV sped off, T-boned a driver and struck a second car near the Imperial Highway off-ramp.
 
Tragically, the driver of the T-boned car suffered fatal injuries. Meanwhile, the second driver suffered minor injuries. Following the crash, police arrested three suspects who tried to flee the scene.
