1 Dies After Vehicle, Semi-Truck Collide on Hageman Road in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 6, 2024) — One person died after a car and big rig crashed on Hageman Road near Martin Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle crash happened early Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of an eastbound Jeep towing a trailer entered the westbound lane and collided with a westbound big rig.
Subsequently, CHP officers responded to find the Jeep driver, a 70-year-old man from Rosenberg, Ore., with fatal injuries. The other driver from Apple Valley was unharmed.
Officers could not speak on the leading cause of the crash but did rule out drugs and alcohol.
