Fatal Multi-Car Crash on Lakeville Highway in Petaluma

 
PETALUMA, CA (April 22, 2024) — One person died, and four others were injured in a multi-car accident on Lakeville Highway near Old Lakeville Road No 3 Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-car crash happened Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a Toyota driver failed to decrease his or her speed safely behind a stopped vehicle. Subsequently, the Toyota collided with a Nissan Versa before overturning in the southbound lane. As a result of the impact, the Toyota collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado while the Nissan crashed into a Ford Fusion.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and found the Toyota driver with fatal injuries. In addition, medics found the Nissan driver and three passengers with minor injuries, later taking them to Petaluma Valley Hospital for higher treatment.
