Rollover Accident on Higheway 371 in Anza Kills One and Injures 3

 
ANZA, CA (January 31, 2022) – One person died and three other people were injured in a rollover accident on Highway 371 in Anza on Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened around 1:30 p.m. on January 28 near Burnt Valley Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a sedan went out control and veered onto the shoulder of the two-lane corridor. It then plunged 100 feet, rolling onto its roof before coming to a stop.
 
Riverside County Fire Department crews responded and immediately performed life-saving measures. Sadly, the one patient did not survive and died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, three others sustained minor to moderate injuries, including a 6-year-old boy and a 2-year- old girl, all of whom extricated themselves from the vehicle with assistance from good Samaritans.
 
Two Mercy Air helicopters took the children to a hospital.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
