Late Evening Crash on 215 Freeway in Devore Leaves 1 Dead

 
DEVORE, CA (October 30, 2023) – One person died and two other people were injured after a high-speed crash on 215 Freeway in Devore late Friday evening on October 27.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:41 p.m. just after the Devore Road exit. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound on the freeway at a high rate of speed when it veered to the right shoulder and hit the small dirt embankment.
 
The car then landed up on its side wedged between two semi tractor-trailers that were parked in the yard next to the freeway.
 
First responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Paramedics rushed two other people to a local hospital with major injuries.
 
At this time, the CHP are still working to determine what led up to the crash.
