Multi-Vehicle Accident on 10 Freeway in Mid-City Kills 1 and Critically Injures 2 Others

 
MID-CITY, CA (January 23, 2023) – One person died and two other people suffered critical injuries after a multi-vehicle accident on 10 Freeway in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
 
The crash happened around 5:40 a.m. on January 21, at Crenshaw Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, at least five vehicles collided on the eastbound freeway in unclear circumstances. Two of the vehicles overturned from the impact.
 
Firefighters reported one person dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed two people to a hospital in critical condition.
 
The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
