1 Hospitalized in Fresno Drunk Driving Multi-Car Accident near Central Avenue

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 18, 2023) — One person suffered an injury in a DUI multi-car crash near Central Avenue and Dickerson Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the drunk driving crash happened Tuesday. For DUI-related reasons, a driver of a northbound Honda Pilot swerved into the southbound lane. Subsequently, the Honda struck a Jeep traveling behind a tractor, despite the Jeep driver’s attempt to avoid the imminent crash. From there, the Honda kept heading north and collided head-on with a Ford Focus before stopping in a cornfield.
 
According to an investigation, the Honda driver showed signs of intoxication, leading to the driver’s arrest. Paramedics took the Jeep driver to a hospital as a precaution for possible minor injuries.
